DevOps Infrastructure Engineer Cheltenham, Gloucester DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with knowledge and experience in Infrastructure, but also with skills in infrastructure automation (scripting in PowerShell), Cloud (AWS/Azure) and Container (Docker/Kubernetes) needed for a market leading software house based in Cheltenham. As a DevOps Infrastructure you would be working on strategic and operational projects such as AWS rollout, Docker/Kubernetes, supporting automated infrastructure (PowerShell) in addition to being involved with general infrastructure support of the general architecture (Server and VMware support, Networking, SANs, Firewalls etc.) The successful DevOps Infrastructure Engineer will want to work for this client not just because it's a great opportunity but also because they will give you a wealth of benefits including: Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum 24 day's holiday Flexible working hours Perkbox membership Casual dress environment Some of the main duties of the DevOps Infrastructure Engineer will include: Lead / support IT automation initiatives Provide 3rd line infrastructure support to the business Work to deliver Infrastructure as code Solve business problems using innovative IT solutions Working with Automation technologies Support the management of the SAAS platform deployment tools to ensure they are scalable and failure proof Support of the business SAAS platform environments and technologies Assist and Support business initiatives using cloud infrastructure Support efforts to maintain production uptime SLA Mentor other IT Operations engineers In order to be the successful DevOps Infrastructure Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following: Experience of operating virtual environments (ideally VMWare) Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) & Microsoft Azure Experience of supporting and configuring datacenter technologies such as: firewalls and firewall policies, physical Server administration, networking, SAN and NAS storage configuration Containerization experience using Docker/Kubernetes Knowledge of Infrastructure automation technologies such as Ansible or Windows DSC 1 to 2 years of scripting skills with PowerShell Experience of working with Linux based Systems This really is a fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to progress their career.
