Overview
Work with service users at risk of exploitation A Local Authority based in the North West is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding team which works with service users who maybe at risk of exploitation Highlights: Will be working on cases which have a range of exploitation elements such as CSE, Gangs, County Lines and Substance Misuse A very interesting Local Authority to work for as it has unique challenges compared to other regions of the country, which has led to Social Services being more innovative and trialling more pioneering approaches. Earlier this year the Local Authority had appointed a new Director of Children's Services who has made excellent progress to help develop services. The Local Authority have restructured its services to provide a more effective and responsive service The Local Authority has received substantial funding to help support its development and improvement As an agency worker you will receive similar training and development benefits usually reserved for permanent members of the team. Will be provided the equipment to work remotely and flexibly. Accommodation support of up to £75/week making this post a bit more accessible to candidates not based in the area This is an excellent opportunity to work within a Local Authority which is going through a change. A new director had been appointed earlier this year to improve services and so far has made significant improvements. A number of areas within Children's services have been restructured to provide a more targeted and responsive provision. Furthermore due to the unique challenges with this region children's services have become more innovative and regularly trial pioneering models and approaches. As an agency Social Worker you will be provided excellent opportunities as you will receive the same amount of support and development that your permanent colleagues do. The local authority are also providing a high level of stability by offering contracts initially for 6 months with the view of being extended, with the rate of pay fixed at a high level for the duration of your time with them.
