Overview
My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join a supportive Water and Environmental Team based in Glasgow. At the present time remote working is an option (or office based with appropriate social distancing) and an immediate start is preferred It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Environmental Management and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority specialising in Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategy and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro and/or Tuflow. Applicants are required to have an awareness of flood estimation. This exciting opportunity will offer the chance to join a supportive team based in Glasgow. You will have the opportunity to complete varied Hydrological, Surface Water, Flood Risk, Environmental, Drainage and Hydraulic Modelling Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Water Companies. As a Hydraulic Modeller you will be required to complete technical work including Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications, Environmental Impact Assessments, Hydrological Assessments, Flood Estimation using ReFH, Surface Water and Catchment Management Plans and Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build and Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.
