Overview

We are looking for a Training Manager to join an established plant and machinery movements solutions company in their Head Office in Avonmouth. This is a family established company who have been in operation for 30 years, and have build up a very credible reputation across the UK. You will be managing the Training Centre and the team of trainers and administration staff, and will also be expected to deliver training yourself at times too. Your typical daily duties will include: - Overseeing the day to day running of the Training Centre - Ensuring courses are run to appropriate standard and NVQs are administered correctly - Line Managing the Training Centre Administrator and Trainers/Assessors - Being responsible for the business development of the Training Centre to maximise revenues - Being hands on in carrying out training and testing activities - Working with Operational Managers to assess training needs and compliance for all types of training The ideal person would have previous experience/awareness of the construction/plant industry (however, this is not essential), have experience of managing training at all stages from planning through to delivery, hold a recognised plant/construction trainer qualification (again, not essential), hold or are working towards a qualification in Assessing NVQs, and have an awareness of industry standards and health and safety legislation. A full driving license is essential for this role, as it will included travel to other depots at times.
