Hays Social Care are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join on a full time basis in Forest Of Dean Are you passionate about supporting individuals with Autism and Behaviours that Challenge? Seeking a new opportunity? Your new company Hays Social care are working alongside a large national provider to provide exceptional support to one of their services in Westbury On Severn. The service specialises in supporting two adult males with autism and BTC. It is split into two flats with a staffing hub in-between and are currently rated "outstanding" with CQC. The provider has been running for 25 years, operate a mixture of supported living and residential services across the UK with a mixture of learning disabilities and autism, currently to-date, they support in excess of 1600 service users. Your new role As a full-time support worker, you will work on a 37.5-hour week, broken down into 2.5 / 3 long days in a residential setting. Due to the complexity of the service we have teamed up exclusively with the provider and will be offering FREE positive behaviour management training. You will work alongside an average of 5 staff during the day and 3 waking nights. the residents currently receive 2:1 and 3:1 support. Both individuals enjoy getting out but also spend time relaxing which means staff need to be creative about keeping busy and active and encouraging engagement. The individuals are both you males and are physically well but have a diagnosis of Autism so structure and routine is key. What you'll need to succeed You must have experience of working within a residential or supported living setting with a minimum of 6 months supporting adults with learning disabilities or autism, experience of behaviours that challenge is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
