Overview

As an accounts administrator you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and be part of the team responsible for providing financial support to our client's business. Responsibilities Purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger Supplier statement and bank reconciliations Processing receipts and payments Assisting with credit control Cash allocation Preparing returns to HMRC Assisting with month end processes and analysis Assisting with preparation of payroll Checking company bank and credit card statements Preparation of the information for use in cash flow Work collaboratively to achieve results and process improvement Dealing with administration for financial paperwork including filing This list of duties is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be asked to carry out other duties through discussions with their line manager. The post holder will do all tasks within his/her level of skill and ability. Skills and Experience Required A strong working knowledge, with extensive experience, of SAGE 50 Accounts AAT qualified or equivalent - preferred but not essential A proven track record and experience of bookkeeping/accounts support Excellent attention to detail Experience of working in a small motivated team IT literate in particular experienced use of Microsoft Office to include Excel Payroll administration (ideally with Sage Payroll) would be a distinct advantage The Person: A 'can-do' attitude is essential Able to work collaboratively and independently if necessary Self-motivated with drive and enthusiasm, flexible and approachable Results focused
