Overview
A telecommunications infrastructure organisation is seeking a Design Engineer to produce in-building DAS designs from initial requirements capture with the client, on-site design surveys and preparation of design documentation. The company is also involved in areas pertaining to 5G, IOT and and M2M and so opportunities to develop and grow into the future network space are there for the taking. You can expect to be surrounded by a friendly and supportive team in carrying out the following duties as a Design Engineer: Prepare test equipment for surveys Perform RF and Design Surveys for inbuildingDAS Perform RF Modelling and design using iBwave Review results, drawings and reports conducted by others Perform design criteria/requirements, system dimensioning, link budget and traffic analysis Complete RAMS Liaise with other Design Engineers and update to Design Manager on progress and raise issues swiftly Request test equipment and materials required for site surveys Complete any Handover Packs, Post Integration Reports and Design Reports on agreed timescales and report templates To assist other departments as requested by the Head of Engineering and as may be necessary from time to time Ensure adequate supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) are available Requirements Experience as a Design Engineer of DAS Experience of in-building design with iBwave (desirable) Experience with TEMS investigation, NEMO (desirable) Experience of producing detailed design reports Ability to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience Clean driving licence
