Senior Delivery Manager - £600 P/d (Inside IR35) MUST HAVE PREVIOUS PUBLIC SECTOR EXPERIENCE Your new company You will be working with a leading healthcare organisation based in London who are looking to bring a Senior Delivery Manager on board, paying £600 P/D (Inside IR35) for an initial 6-month contract. Your new role The Senior Delivery Manager will be responsible for ensuring that their delivery team or teams are adopting and applying the most appropriate lean and agile techniques, using user-centred iterative design and development processes, and are performing effectively. The Senior Delivery Manager will ensure that the team members are motivated, collaborating and working well. They will be responsible for identifying risks, issues, dependencies and other blockers to successful delivery, and helping the team(s) to overcome them. They will focus the team(s) on what is most important to the delivery of the products and services, encouraging and facilitating continuous improvement of the delivery team. What you'll need to succeed Practitioner level knowledge of agile practices, tools, techniques and culture - specifically Scrum and Kanban practices Practitioner level knowledge of delivery metric tracking and effective methods to prioritise and forecast delivery Practitioner level knowledge of task management, workflow or collaboration tools. e.g. Trello, Jira, Confluence, Slack and Miro Practitioner level knowledge of user-centred design and development and iterative agile software development techniques related to the full product lifecycle A thorough understanding of the importance and use of research and insight in informing work, and of developing and using research and insight to help separate 'wants' from 'needs' to inform service/product development work and wider business decisions. Practitioner level knowledge of product prioritisation, delivery planning and facilitation techniques Practitioner level knowledge of coaching methods to build and sustain high performing teams Working level knowledge of GDS service standards, technology code of practice and government service manual Practitioner level knowledge of effective risk and issues management Excellent appreciation of the value and need to follow accessibility standards (W3C) Working level knowledge of scaling agile teams effectively.
