Overview
Do you have a number of years' experience in tax accounting, compliance and reporting? Do you want to work for a business that consistently grows profitability year-on-year? Do you want to manage a team of experienced tax professionals and work closely with an experienced Head of Tax? If the answers are yes then please read on. We are currently working with a leading insurance business that are looking to add to their UK Tax Team. Based in The City of London, they are a team of less than 10 who manage the European tax obligations of a global insurer. This role reports directly into the Head of Tax and will see someone join the team as a their UK Tax Manager, with a focus on Corporation Tax. The organisation has a unique culture in the industry and would be ideal for someone seeking a friendly and collaborative environment where people work-hard but have an excellent balance with their home life. The role offers someone the chance to take complete ownership of the UK Corporate Tax Team. They will be responsible for all elements of tax reporting / compliance for internal and external purposes. What this means is that elements of the role will be non-negotiable - reviewing corporation tax filings, preparing tax notes for statutory accounts, GL analysis, quarterly accruals etc. However, much of the role is up for discussion - the HoT is looking for someone to be: pro-active, come with ideas and be able to implement their own processes and controls. The right person for this role could come from a number of different backgrounds.
