Overview
We are a leading Enterprise Asset Management Software supplier, looking for a java developer to join our team to allow us to achieve several internal projects. Reporting to our Development Team Manager, the ideal candidate will be a smart forward thinker with a real passion for development. The day to day role will involve development, support, maintenance and implementation of software modules. The successful candidate will work on site with our existing development team, joining an established company looking to continue its growth and further reinforce its position as a market leader in its sector. The candidate who fills the role of a java developer in our team will be involved in building and creating component solutions and data services from the requirements stage through to deployment. A successful candidate is self-motivated, shows innovative, thinks outside the box, has excellent communication skills and can work with stakeholders from the business and technology with ease. Responsibilities : Write reusable code and libraries Write backend Java code Integrate backend code with frontend Problem solve and fix bugs Implement IOT Integrate third party and internal APIs Data Import and export functionality Write user-facing features Write react native applications Support maintenance and testing of modules and components Help design and development of new product modules and components Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Experience : Degree or HND in either: Computer Science Information Technology Software Development Software Engineering Business Information Systems 5 years relevant experience Preferred Skills : Communication Team Player Problem Solving Work in an Agile way Programming Languages : Java Spring React JS/Native HTML5 JavaScript JSON XML CSS3 jQuery SQL MySQL Additional Skills : Knowledge of design patterns such as MVC Exposure to testing frameworks (Junit, Selenium etc) Developing and deploying: Java web applications Tomcat Apache Knowledge of: JSP/JSTL Tag Lib Build: Ant Gradle/Maven Jenkins/Hudson GIT Integration technologies: SOAP JSON REST Aptitude Structured, logical and analytical Passionate about coding Enjoy the process involved in grasping technical concepts Be motivated by challenges Feel confident problem solving and discussing problems with peers Benefits : Career progression Flexible hours Pension - Employers contribution 28 days holiday per year including bank holiday, 1 extra day holiday for each year worked 3 days holiday can be carried over per year to the next year Great office Location - central Guildford near train station Friendly office environment Occasional work from home Company social events
