Overview
PSI are excited to be recruiting for an Engineering Technician to work at a well established, manufacturing company based in Warrington . This role is on a permanent basis, with a starting salary of £25,000, however upon completion of the probation, this will be increased to £28,000. Working on a shift pattern of 3 on/3 off on a fixed 12-hour shift pattern of 6pm-6.15am, Including Hot handover to next shift. We require an Engineering Technician to join the team with the areas of responsibility being: Reporting to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager. you will be expected to assist in the maintenance of the site including all machinery and associated equipment, dealing with both mechanical & electrical faults Respond to breakdowns of equipment to maintain the efficiency of the operation and identify problem areas and implement improvements. Check stocks and advise the Lead Engineer to order the relevant parts/materials for maintenance and repair work to be carried out. Complete all Pre planned maintenance schedules within timescales Check stocks and advise the Engineering Manager to order the relevant parts/materials for maintenance and repair work to be carried out. Complete all required paperwork required within engineering. Knowledge & Experience for the Engineering Technicians: This position is both Mechanical & Electrical (however if you have a more Electrical bias, that would be beneficial) Have worked for 2 years in a Food Production/Manufacturing or FMCG environment. Please still apply if you have strong M&E experience, but from a different industry (but are used to working in a fast-paced environment), Time served apprenticeship in either a mechanical or electrical discipline A commitment to team working is also essential and must be able to cope with a pressurised environment This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89735282
