Infinity Group are looking for a Senior IT Projects Consultant - Infrastructure to join our team. This is an exciting brand new role, where you will be the technical escalation point to the projects and field team, and also supervise the technical work of other consultants. This role would be ideal for somebody who's working in a project consultant role in infrastructure previously, but now wants to step up and take on some more responsibility. Our impressive portfolio of clients, numerous award wins and three major ISO certifications, set Infinity Group apart from the other Managed Service Providers in the UK. www.infinitygroup.co.uk THE ROLE This is a lead role with responsibility for planning and undertaking the technology delivery of small to medium-sized projects, but also required to manage sections of large projects and will have input into the project planning process. You will be required to be the technical escalation point and supervise the work of other Project Consultants or associated Field Engineers in all technical aspects and may work with external consultants to ensure deliverables. You will be the primary responsibility for meeting defined technology business goals as scoped by project objectives. You'll need to work with the 3rd party suppliers, which involves the agreement, planning, timelines and quality of deliverables. One of the key parts of your role is to enhance the customer’s perception of Infinity Group over the life of the project, keeping the client and senior management appraised of project progress and surrounding issues and routinely to the PMO. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Experience of critical and complex, typically bespoke in elements, technical project delivery and relationship management as defined by the needs of the business, including customer, project team, project suppliers and other affected parties. Demonstrable record of ability to innovate to resolve major problems and has a record of getting buy in to radical solutions to resolve issues that threatened to delay or seriously disrupt the project goals (resource, budget or stakeholder in nature). Will have had significant experience of leading and delivering complex projects, requiring management of medium-term and long-term timeframes, major resources and project deliverables (typically gained over a period in excess of five years). Experienced delivery agent with specific experience of delivering to clients directly and delivery of significant and/or time critical Must have developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships. Ability to have the robust/difficult conversations with customer, third party suppliers and stakeholders Experienced practitioner of a formal Project Management methodology such as Prince2, APMP, ITIL qualification, Risk Management. High degree of business acumen ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS Knowledge of HPE and Dell EMC SAN technologies, design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting. Industry specific qualifications - MCSE or MCPs in at least 2 relevant technologies: Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019 Microsoft 365 Stack Microsoft Azure In-depth understanding of core Windows Server roles: Active Directory File Services Print Services Remote Desktop Services A good understanding and experience in configuration and management of core Microsoft 365 services and hybrid integrations: Azure Active Directory Azure AD Connect Exchange Online Exchange Hybrid Microsoft Teams Sharepoint Online InTune Comprehensive experience with implementation and management of Microsoft Hyper-V, both stand-alone and clustered solutions, including replication.
