Production Planner
Overview
Our client are looking to recruit a Production Planner to join their established team, during a period of growth and success for the company. THE ROLE: Analyse orders from manufacturing and create production schedules Schedule machines and maintain the planning board Issue production work orders and plans in a timely manner Release jobs to production Track orders and production info Make changes where needed to schedule and report progress to Line Manager(s) Manage inventory for job specific supplies and materials Create and maintain daily and monthly reports and present to production team Compare production activity against plans, adjust schedules where needed THE CANDIDATE: Has prior knowledge of production processes and machine capabilities Degree/diploma level preferred Ideally has 3-5 years experience in scheduling or a similar role Experience in corrugated manufacturing massively beneficial Must have a manufacturing background Must be IT literate Must have outstanding time management skills and be able to multi-task Good problem solving skills Must have good communication skills Must have good work ethic and be able to maintain good attendance Must be able to work overtime if needed, significant paid overtime required during busy periods
