Do you want the opportunity to work for a fast-growing purchasing consortium and manage your own category? This organisation is experiencing a period of growth and as such, have created a Junior Procurement Manager role to support the Senior Procurement Manager. The emphasis on this role will be supplier relationship management and you will be responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships with your key suppliers to gain the best possible prices for your customers. As Junior Procurement Manager your key responsibilities will be: Ensuring compliance with the purchasing process on products, pricing and contract management Ensuring benefit tracking and cost tracking data is always updated and accurate Obtaining information from stores and suppliers as required Supporting the creation and delivery of category plans for nominated equipment and décor items Managing the cost of nominated categories required to build a restaurant Managing and reporting on the performance of nominated equipment and décor suppliers To work for this exciting growing Food & Beverage organisation, you will require the following experience: Graduate, or graduate calibre Strong commercial, negotiation and numerical aptitude Purchasing experience – with direct supplier/category responsibility Experience of international and cross-cultural working is an advantage Excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills Computer literate (intermediate or advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills) Strong organisational and time management skills Able to prioritise effectively and meet demanding deadlines In applications we will be looking for: A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision to high standards, and adhere to agreed priorities Strong customer focus and service skills Ability to understand business needs and concerns Ability to influence and drive behaviour changes from suppliers and other stakeholders Tenacity and perseverance to achieve the required objectives Ability to collate, evaluate, manipulate and draw conclusions from data Using this information to formulate strategies as appropriate A hands-on approach with the ability to think laterally to resolve issues/problems Able to operate effectively within a flexible, fast-paced, small business environment Clear communicator able to distil the information down to the critical points for the stakeholders Able to deal with ambiguity and change whilst maintaining the tenacity and perseverance required to achieve the required objectives Benefits of the Junior Procurement Manager role: Competitive base salary Bonus Personal development allowance
