Production Engineer - Gosport - Competitive Salary Benefits A well established, forward thinking engineering company based in Gosport is seeking a Production Engineer to join their growing team. Working within a low volume environment, the successful Production Engineer will be involved in the cradle to grave development of technically complex electromechanical products, catering to the defence sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in capturing customer requirements, work with design teams to map out processes and circumvent potential obstacles, realise multi-system (Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Software) products, before continually improving production processes therein with a focus on cost-down activities and continuous improvement. In order to be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have proven experience of manufacturing and assembly within a low to medium volume environment, have a sound appreciation for box-build, cable-harness and PCB manufacture, and be knowledgeable in fabrication manufacturing processes. Candidates must also have customer experience as well as an ability to take products from design into production. It would be advantageous to have experience in the application of tools including DFM (Design for Manufacture), DFA (Design for Assembly), NPI (New Product Introduction), as well as various continuous improvement techniques, cost-reduction experience, and knowledge of IPC standards for PCB design and manufacturing.
