Overview

Our major international client is looking to recruit on a permanent basis, a Quality Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION The Quality Manager will manage the Quality Assurance Team within an ISO 9001:2015 environment and be responsible for the Quality of the Company's products and to ensure that the Company Quality Goals are maintained. Quality Manager - Main roles & responsibilities Responsible and accountable for: Managing an efficient and effect QA Team Quality of the Company products and components as supplied to customers. Maintaining Quality records as indicated in the company Quality Manual and Quality Procedures. Recording, co-ordination and response in resolving customer complaints. Investigate non-conformances and perform 8D problem solving. Monitoring scrap performance, both as a result of company machine shop activity as well as supplier shortcomings. Assessment and monitoring of supplier quality. Take up any quality queries and issues with suppliers on non-conforming components or materials, through telephone, mail or visits. Liaising with outside inspectorates as and when necessary to fulfil special quality requirements. Inspection of components as required for conformance to specification by reference to drawing, documentation and engineering, using full range of inspection instruments, CMM, gauges and non-destructive testing techniques. Inspecting completed assemblies and finished parts prior to despatch, making final checks against documentation. Participate in CI activities Be a member of the ISO9001 internal audit team and carry out audits Quality Manager - Experience Commercial Experience in a similar senior quality or quality manager role. Target driven and has a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Experience in a busy manufacturing/engineering organisation ideally in a ISO 9001:2015 environment - Ideally involving CNC machining of parts and metal components. CMM experience IRCA QMS certified Quality Manager - Ideally in addition to the above experience you will be educated to a minimum of HNC / HND level in a relevant mechanical/engineering/quality discipline, however candidates with excellent career history, apprentice trained with a hands on manufacturing background will also be considered.
