Overview
A well-established manufacturer of automotive components is recruiting for a Quality Manager who will be responsible for Quality Assurance. Key tasks: To be accountable for the quality of company products. To maintain quality records as indicated by the company. Working within ISO 9001 QMS. Resolving customer complaints. Investigating non-conformances and perform 8D problem solving. To be responsible for monitoring scrap performance, both as a result of company machine shop activity as well as supplier shortcomings. To monitor quality of goods and services delivered by suppliers To liaise with outside inspectorates as and when necessary to fulfil special quality requirements. To be responsible for the behaviour and performance of any staff reporting to the Quality Manager. To inspect components using CMMs, gauges and non-destructive testing techniques. To carry out audits to the scheduled plan. Inspecting completed assemblies and finished parts prior to despatch, making final checks against documentation. To participate in ABS Kaizen activities to improve processes and increase efficiency. To carry out any reasonable tasks or projects that may be required by the Manufacturing Systems Manager. The Quality Manager will be well-organised, IT literature individual with good eye for detail and ability to prioritize the workload. We are looking for someone with experience of working within a busy manufacturing organisation and confident using CMMs. Must have UK valid Driving license and IRCA QMS Certification.
