Overview
Material Planner Based: Basildon, Essex Salary: £18K to £21K The Material Planner will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. The Material Planners duties will include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving problems. Day to Day Responsibilities: Ensuring that daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation Analysing and preparing documents needed for production Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation Liaise with stores regarding kitting of works orders Creating sales orders on Lakeview Creating scheduled purchase orders on Lakeview Send pick notes to stores Create delivery notes for dispatches Create box labels for production Packaging - internally and externally Input schedules Create goods receipts Maintain monthly KPI's Uphold all polices in relation to health, Safety and Welfare Skills and Qualifications: Experience in a similar role, would be preferential The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment Good written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability Proactive and innovative To work effectively on your own and as part of a team, with a positive 'can-do' attitude The ability to prioritise workload If this position for Material Planner sounds of interest, please apply with an up to date copy of your CV for consideration.
