Overview

As a Health Advisor at Partnering Health Limited (PHL), your role is key as the first point of contact for our patients. A kind and empathetic person, you will be expected to take control and be accountable for the situation, providing our patients with respect and confidence in our ability to deliver a great and caring service. Health Advisor Main Duties: Initial assessment of the health and clinical needs of patients who contact the 111 service using clinical decision-making software (full training provided). Utilise the clinical decision-making software to make appropriate and timely referrals to other services such as the 999 ambulance service, GPs, in-house clinicians and hospitals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of consultations and actions taken using computer software in line with local policies and procedures. Skills and Experience Required Demonstrable experience within roles where exemplar customer service was paramount Ability to work efficiently, ensuring the appropriate appointments are made within targeted time frames Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Computer literate with experience of Microsoft office or other databases Good standard of literacy and numeracy Be able to clear an enhanced DBS check Hours We have contracts available working on different set hours, depending on your shift pattern you will get at least one full weekend off every 8 weeks. There will be the opportunity to take up ad hoc additional shifts to cover sickness and annual leave. Training - IMPORTANT You will need to complete the full NHS Pathways and system training to equip you for the role, where you will be supported by the Pathways Trainer and your Line Manager. Please note you will need to commit to working full time for 6 weeks in order to complete the course. The course itself will give you the skills required to become a NHS 111 Health Advisor but we will require your commitment and dedication during the course as there will be assessments that you will be required to complete. You will be paid during this training period. As an integral team member, you will efficiently manage the initial patient call using diagnostic software, keeping the patient informed and liaising with your duty team leader as appropriate to ensure a seamless and first-class service is delivered.
