Overview

About the role: Operating as a key player in the economic regulation team, provide high-quality pricing and tariff advice and general regulatory analysis. Provide high-quality pricing and tariff advice and analysis and communicate key findings to a wide range of audiences including senior managers and Executive Teams. Develop and maintain detailed tariff models and work with finance on the development of cost to serve models to support tariff setting. Ensure models have suitable assurance. Develop external networks to influence the development of pricing and tariff issues for the benefit of the business and its customers. Draft responses to Ofwat consultations on pricing and tariff issues. Develop a regulated tariff strategy for retail and wholesale businesses for approval by Board. Liaise with Ofwat, business units and external affairs in the production of published tariffs. Provide expert advice and analysis on pricing and tariff issues to contribute to the development of strategy and tactics for review of price controls. Key Accountabilities: Degree level qualification in the analytical subject, preferably economics or mathematics Good understanding of pricing and tariff issues Strong influencing & communication skills (written and oral) Ability to think outside the box High-level competencies in analytical, conceptual & strategic thinking, order and quality, change orientation and team working. Strong skill level in Microsoft Excel.
