Software Support Analyst- Farnborough SearchDATA Group is currently recruiting a Software Support Analyst to join a cutting-edge technology business based in Farnborough. You'll be joining a company witnessing a significant period of rapid growth as they are set to deliver their next generation of cloud-based software packaged to their customers. The role The software support analyst role is involved with both logging and answering support requests through to completion relating to the companies Cloud based SaaS application. This will involve using technical capabilities to analyse code, write software reports, execute SQL scripts and grow your understanding of Cloud Software Architecture delivered as SaaS. Responsibilities Handle faults/requests through to completion via portal/telephone/email/remote support. Escalation of issues where necessary. Liaising with the software engineering team for issue resolutions. Develop a thorough understanding of the products and services. Record defects and liaise with engineering for recreating software issues. Create and amend software reports (experience in SSRS and PowerBI desirable). Monitor and debug performance and usage metrics within a cloud service portal (preferably Microsoft Azure). Execute scripts in SQL for analysing data (preferably Microsoft SQL Server/SQL Azure). Analyse code (C#, HTML, JavaScript) a bonus but not essential. There is the requirement for the candidate to also join the on-call rota for out of hours support assistance on critical issues. Personal Skills Able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to build strong relationships with our customers. Ability to understand customer technical enquiries. Self-motivated and driven to achieve professional success. Resourceful, energetic and enthusiastic, prepared to go the "extra mile". Good attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure, both as part of the team and on own initiative. Confident and able to communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
