Overview
Our client is a global consulting firm and is a leading provider of risk management services to business, industry, finance and the legal profession. Our services enable clients to assess and manage a broad range of risks and to negotiate increasingly complex regulatory, compliance and security environments in some of the world's most challenging jurisdictions. We are recruiting for an Associate/Senior Associate, with a focus on Central Asia, to join our Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia Business Intelligence practice. The role will be based in London or Washington DC and the successful candidate will have the legal right to live and work in the UK or the USA, whichever is the location of choice. We are looking for candidates with the ability to carry out high quality research and analysis, spanning many different sectors. The successful candidate will have the skills and ability to manage complex assignments in Central Asia, demonstrate a familiarity with the tools that are used in gathering public information, experience in conducting inquiries on-the-ground in countries around the region and an in-depth knowledge of the legal framework in which we operate. They will also have been involved in client development work and be looking to enhance that experience at Risk Advisory. Previous work experience in a professional services firm (such as an investment bank, law firm, management consultancy or in a relevant department of a major corporation) and/or in academia would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Russian. Other appropriate local languages (in particular, Kazakh and Uzbek) are also advantageous.
