Overview

Gerrard White is currently seeking a Network Support Engineer to join a market leading insurance group based in Surrey on an initial 6-month FTC basis. The role will sit within the Network and Security Team function, which is responsible for all the company's IT network activities. Key tasks will include: Change management process. Raising and Assessing Network related changes Network infrastructure design, configuration, implementation and support for large, multi-site PC/server/voice infrastructures Support LAN switches Cisco 9500/9300 (including switching and routing) Monitor and scope changes on Firewalls, load balancing, remote access devices, intrusion prevention systems WAN utilisation and performance monitoring Configure and manage Cisco DNA, Assurance monitoring and troubleshooting tools Configure and manage Fortinet Next Generation Firewalls Disaster recovery and Work Area Recovery testing Cable presentation and patching Network support for telephony systems DNS and DHCP Support Office Wide Wi-Fi Configuration and Monitoring AWS Cloud Networking (AWS direct connect, AWS VPN) Oracle Cloud Networking (Fast Connect) Support Cloud Remote Access Work with third parties and facilitate third party changes The ideal candidate will have: CCNA or equivalent level experience Firewall configuration experience, ideally Fortinet General understanding of MPLS and WAN technology Experience and knowledge of routing protocols (BGP & OSPF) Produced low level designs in a previous role Experience of managing a remote access solution Experience of IPsec VPN Experience of VoIP telephone system Bonus points: Previous role was as network designer or engineer producing and implementing LLD's CCNP or equivalent level experience Hands on experience with Cisco DNA In depth knowledge with Fortinet firewalls Knowledge Wi-Fi technologies AWS Cloud Networking Hands on Experience Oracle Cloud Experience Big IP F5 knowledge Cloudflare (Or Similar CDN) ZScaler (Or similar VPN)
