Overview

Our Client, a growth Solutions led VAR, part of Private Equite back group of Technology Companies is looking for a Network & Security Engineer to join their expanding team based out of Leeds. Base salary upto £60k, car allowance, attractive benefits package. Technical Summary As a Network and Security Delivery Engineers you must have a detailed level of understanding and hands-on experience with most of the technologies listed below: • Routing and Switching (CCNA/CCNP highly desirable) • Datacentre switching, including Cisco Nexus • Service Provider technologies such as MPLS, BGP, VRF, VXLAN, etc • Extensive Firewall knowledge, including Cisco ASAs, FTDs and Palo Alto • IPS, web filtering and client/site-to-site VPNs • Cisco ISE and Stealthwatch • Wireless including Cisco, Meraki and Aruba In addition, any of the following skills or qualifications would be desirable: • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 • Exchange 2010-2016 and/or Exchange Online • Office 365 • Public Cloud: Azure and AWS • Virtualisation: Hyper-V and VMware ESXi/vSphere • Citrix: XenApp/XenDesktop/NetScaler • Storage: Dell Compellent/EqualLogic/NetApp/Nimble • Unix/Linux Role Summary The position includes, but is not limited to, the following main responsibilities: • Complete project delivery tasks such as installations, upgrades and migrations of server and storage solutions - working with the SICL Project Management team and customer to ensure all deliverables are successfully achieved. • Proactively identify and resolve risks throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure project completion tasks (PCAT) are completed to an excellent standard: o Including the creation of technical documentation and diagrams o Maintaining management systems for monitoring, reporting and configuration o Providing successful operational handovers to production. • Proactively report to management and remediate any major issue that could impact SICL or a customer. • Be a point of escalation for the SICL Service Desk if/when needed. • Participate in the on-call rota. • Deliver excellent customer service to all project stakeholders, with detailed, accurate written and verbal communication throughout. • Complete documentation such as reports and design work (HLDs and LLDs) to SICL standards for internal and customer consumption. • Provide accurate and timely technical information and updates to our customers throughout all client engagements. • Complete technical training and certifications as required to ensure upkeep of personal and business accreditations such as CCNA, CCNP, etc. Effective use of softs skills such as: o Time Management o Commercial awareness o Accurate time recording o Planning, prioritisation and execution of tasks Following the company values of: o Teamwork o Integrity o Excellence o Respect Training As part of this role, ongoing training will be provided in order to maintain and grow your skillset. This will include formal training as required, and the successful candidate will be expected to obtain and maintain an up to date Cisco certifications, and other industry qualifications.
