Overview
Our market-leading global client is currently recruiting for an experienced Software Developer (C++) who will design, develop, test and maintain their portfolio of engineering software applications which support the global business. You will generate and present support documentation materials for users of the programs, and provide technical support to engineering and sales teams as required. You will deliver fully functional products to agreed and challenging deadlines, and analyse and define user requirements via interviews and workshops. The role: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software applications. Work with the client to design and develop the software user interface. Be able to learn, follow and adapt professional software development processes. Discuss program requirements with all levels of users. Full lifecycle of application development. Your profile: Software Engineering Degree or Equivalent Demonstrable skills in C++ development. Experience of working in an agile software development team. A passion for software development, with a willingness to learn new software languages and technologies. Able to use imagination and innovation to solve complex software problems in a sustainable manner. Ability to work with people, both team members and clients. Effective communication skills. Excellent problem solving skills. Adaptable and innovative approach to work and new technologies. Nice to have : SQL database development experience. Knowledge of Java script. Experience and skills covering all areas of the software development lifecycle - specification, design, coding, testing, debugging, installation and maintenance. Experience of working in a team using Source Code Management (preferably Azure DevOps). Ability to understand engineering concepts and principles.
