Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineer – Full Stack / Digital Specialist to join the Digital Technology team at our HQ in Glasgow city centre. This role will have exposure to front-end technology and requires taking ownership of the full stack for internal facing projects when required. A passion for everything backend-engineering, the data access principles that underpin everything the organisation does on public websites and with 3rd party suppliers, is fundamental. Reporting to the Lead Software Engineer, key responsibilities of this role include: Design and development of systems and solutions. Ensuring quality standards are being met by both internal and external development teams. This includes code quality, CI/CD principles and adherence to defined security policies. Proactively identify opportunities in collaboration with key stakeholders (business and technical). Assist & advise in the analysis of complex business scenarios, problems and processes. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be comfortable operating within a pragmatic, agile and rapidly evolving function. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and team requirements flexibly (and with a degree of personal comfort) is an important personal attribute. You will have a Degree, or equivalent qualification, in IT, Software Engineering or a related discipline. You will have full stack development experience using one or more of the following technologies - Angular 6, Typescript, React/Redux, .Net Core, Saas/Less, Webpack, npm, Nuget. You will have a good understanding of architecture principles, patterns and styles (SOLID, REST, Microservices, CQRS), and be comfortable in building and refining relational Databases.
