Westcon-Comstor are looking for a MS SQL Software Developer to join our application team in based in Cirencester near Swindon. The MS SQL Programmer should have already gained experience in application design, development and support. This is a developing role in a dynamic sales and IT distribution environment. This is an office based role with some flexibility to work from home. You should have demonstrable experience in aspects of: Development in a MSSQL Server environment; including database design and use of SSIS packages & SSRS Reports. Functional & Technical Design. Performance and resilience related architecture and design activities. Engineering of IT solutions to meet Business requirements. Experience of stakeholder management & engagement skills, effective at all levels. Have experience in task management & mentoring team members. Excellent communication skills. You will be involved in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, thinking end to end. Provide expert input into all aspects of the lifecycle, from early life through to production support. Accountable for Detailed Functional & Technical Design Engineering of Software solutions, including design & code reviews Understanding the business impact of technical problems Proactively contributing to the evolution of Software engineering within the GPC Team Quickly understanding problems and provide root cause analysis and resolution Liaising with internal staff, to provide support & resolution; via our Ticket system.
