Overview

We have exciting opportunities for a talented SC Cleared Cost Control Engineer to join our fast growing management consultancy as a contractor (operating inside IR35). Successful candidates will be based at our client site in Abbey Wood and will be working in departments such as Land, Submarine Delivery Agency, Air Support, Joint Enablers and the Ships. The daily rate will be between £266 and £342 depending on the level of the role. The initial contract period would be 6-12 months with high potential to extend. The roles offer flexible hours (40 hours a week) and options to work from home. As a Cost Control Engineer your responsibilities will include: Cost management, estimating and analysis for major projects requiring a technical engineering knowledge. General non-routine cost management guidance to projects and identify cost trends for management attention. Review proposals related to cost management and material control, developing supporting data for contract negotiations, requiring good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders The successful candidate will: Hold valid security clearance (SC) to work on site (essential) Hold a UK passport 2 to 10 years of experience of Cost Control/ Cost Modelling depending on role Have experience preparing and analysing cost reports Have excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ideally, experience working within MOD environment This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89856965
