Overview
My client is a leading Global Banking group, looking for an experienced Application Architect with extensive t echnical design and architecture experience to take a senior role within their IT planning and architecture function. The role will be to shift the organisation to neutralise a new vision that includes modern thinking and the design of a new platform that supports future commercial initiatives. Key responsibilities Take the reins of the application infrastructure, creating commercial opportunities from technology innovation Design and implement an application infrastructure that supports the banks business initiatives Support project managers and business analysts in delivering successful software projects Designs new solutions bespoke for a regulated environment Monitor compliance against Enterprise Architecture, Technology Standards and Technology recovery plan Design a platform that supports functional and non-functional requirements. Responsible for designing application technical infrastructure such as application components, platforms, interfaces, databases, development tools and testing approaches. Background and Experience. You will ideally have a track record demonstrating experience in the following: Knowledge and experience working with corporate banking systems . Modern application development Strong working experience with Java, C#, database (SQL and Oracle) . Track record of creating new application infrastructure s Additional Requirements: Strong communication skills when dealing with fellow colleagues, management and senior stakeholders across the business.
