Overview
IT Sourcing Manager Farnborough FTC - 12 Months We are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for a new and exciting position based in Salisbury. This is a fixed term contracted offered initially for 12 months, working at our headquarters in Farnborough. We are FTSE 250 technology, science and defence contract and this role will be working a part of a large procurement function and you will take a lead role in the sourcing of all IT software, hardware, licensing, services and telephony required by the group. Responsibilities Negotiates favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software or components Acquires and maintains understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends and supplier technology road maps. Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers in order to influence behaviours and ensure appropriate involvement of Procurement in all sourcing activities. Collaboratively develop plans with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of targets, improve supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement plans across spend. Collaborate with peers to develop and enhance systems, process, and best practice Sourcing exercises will be initiated both by internal stakeholders to work on cost centre funded projects, or subcontracts in support of customer funded work. There will be equal focus on driving out unnecessary expenditure in order to reduce corporate overhead and the timely delivery of contractual solutions within the Project timescales. Position Requirements: Degree educated or demonstrable industry experience MCIPS is desirable Procurement and supply chain experience particularity within the IT category Ability to lead functional teams as may be required.
