Overview

My client is a manufacturer of steel products supplied to a variety of industries. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced CAD/CAM Engineer to join their team. The role is to produce drawings to a high-quality standard, offline program for their lasers, also time and cost jobs for the sales team. Responsibilities: - • Create 3D models and accompanying drawings. • Working with production documentation and interpreting customer instructions. • Quality checking own work. • Using measuring equipment. • Produce high quality drawings. • Create 3D models. • Amend existing parts. • Speaking directly to customers when there are issues with drawings. • Programming jobs. • Timing and costing for sales. • Producing model files for customers when required. • Maintain drawing standards. Skills and experience: - • Excellent attention to detail • Eager and willing to learn • Communication (written and verbal) • Problem solving • Good time management • Being able to read and interpret and understand customer drawings • Good customer service skills • Good telephone skills Standard office hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00AM – 4:30PM Friday 8:00AM – 4:00PM.
