Overview
We are a leading Medical Technology business specialising in the design, development and manufacture of innovative diagnostics devices. Due to continued growth and investment in our Oxfordshire site, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our highly motivated "Operations Systems" team. The Operations group is the largest team in our facility, producing significant device volumes per year to the high-quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal quality systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be using your computer programming skills and interests to work with databases and large data-sets to provide validated data and analytical insights to be used by different groups and colleagues around the business. You will be contributing to the design and development of software applications, data analytics and business intelligence to support highly automated and complex manufacturing processes. Validated and verified data is used for Quality metrics, yield reporting, process monitoring and improvement, and for audit and regulatory purposes. To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate: A relevant degree such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Control Engineering; Experience of Visual Studio Application Programming (C++ or C#); Experience writing machine interface software (e.g. Data Acquisition, Vision Systems, Real-time Machine control); Experience of using relation databases within application development; An understanding of the importance of Quality standards, working to a Quality Management System (Documented testing & complying with external Audits). Excellent communication skills to help you to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
