One of the world's leading providers of life insurance, pensions and asset management due to further expansion and re positioning their strategy, are hiring for an Account manager to join their team in Edinburgh - manging key corporate accounts and to further develop their proposition. This is a pivotal role and vital to their stages of growth. The firm is a global provider that serves customers in over 20 countries and managers over £800bn for savers and investors worldwide. Responsibilities The Account Manager will have the expertise and market knowledge to deal with large workplace pensions opportunities. Your primary role will be to win new clients, generate growth on key accounts of existing clients and build business relationships with key company advisor firms and individuals. You will ensure that appropriate qualified feedback on proposition development and competitors is given to marketing and distribution. The EBC Account Manager will maintain a strong working relationship with other appropriate areas within the company along with other business units. The key responsibilities of the EBC Account Manager include: Developing and working with Account Director to build strong and profitable business relationships with key personnel within important EBC and Corporate advisory firms, to positively influence company position on their panels. Overseeing and managing as appropriate, the day-to-day activities undertaken by firm businesses which will influence the business relationships with the panel of workplace advisers Ability to work across all business channels, aligning services and solutions to meet the requirements of advisers/consultancies Delivery of financial objectives of each of the adviser relationships by proactively planning and delivering business development initiatives to further strengthen adviser relationship and create opportunities to do business with firm. Responsible for identifying opportunities for growth of our largest and most important EBC and Corporate advisory books of business Joint responsibility for growing the corporate advisory books of business with Workplace Client Relationship team Hold regular meetings with Account Director Joint responsibility with Account Directors to create and deliver account plans for key accounts Requirements Minimum of three years' new business experience, preferably in pensions or asset management - strong business acumen and sales abilities in a corporate environment QCF Level 4 IMC or relevant industry qualifications Strong pensions background, either working for a product provider or consultant and Strong defined contribution (DC) technical, product and market knowledge Excellent written English Language skills Strong presentational skills Excellent time management and prioritisation skills This is a genuinely rare opportunity within the industry and a chance to join during an exciting period of growth.
