This is a senior position sitting within the Casualty Wholesale Division; a team that is known in the insurance markets across the global for its effectiveness, creativity and ability to house even the hardest to place risk. This is a senior role in the team, and one with far reaching accountabilities - both with clients and less-experienced colleagues. Working with a variety of stakeholders, you will be responsible for the management of a variety of Casualty-led business from a range of industry sectors. This will include dealing with stakeholders from across the globe and developing a sound understanding of different insurers’ / markets’ appetites for specific risks. This will include some involvement in clients’ strategy meetings as and when required, and producing a variety of documentation such as warranties for partner brokers and final terms for clients. As you will be responsible for obtaining quotations for new business and renewals, you must be well-connected in the London market and be confident that you have the gravitas and knowledge to command the best possible terms for your clients. You must also be meticulous, able to produce accurate reports / documentation, and have a keen eye for detail. You should have extensive London market experience and a thorough understanding of London / non US Casualty wordings, and how these are applied. A sound understanding of international tax requirements and a knowledge of the PPL process would certainly add weight to your application.
