Overview
Commodity Buyer Butler Ross have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Buyer to join a Manufacturing company in Peterborough. This role will involve managing a group of commodities making sure all materials are available for the production plans and managing contracts with suppliers with ongoing negotiations. This is a great opportunity to join a truly exciting company, and being involved in some exciting projects. This role will be best suited for a Buyer, Technical Buyer, Project Buyer, Commercial Buyer, Engineering Buyer or Senior Buyer. Role responsibilities of the Commodity Buyer: Sourcing of suppliers and products within assigned commodity group. Negotiation of all contract terms, ensuring best value, quality and lead time. Building relationship with new and existing suppliers, tracking their performance throughout, and resolving issues if they ever arise. Monitoring all costs Helping other areas of the business with any supply issues, such as damaged goods, payment terms, specifications etc. Coordinating all returned items, making sure they are repaired and dealt with accordingly, and sent back to the user in agreed timeframes. Person Specification of the Commodity Buyer: Experience of working within a Manufacturing Environment 2 years Purchasing experience MRP/System experience CIPS qualification (or working towards) Salary Up to 30k This role will be best suited for a Buyer, Technical Buyer, Project Buyer, Commercial Buyer, Engineering Buyer or Senior Buyer.
