Page Personnel are currently recruiting for a temporary Project Manager role based in Leeds City Centre. Salary up to £43,000 and 3-6 month temporary contract. Client Details Our client is a large Public Sector organisation based in the centre of Leeds with excellent Public Transport links. Description Working with the work stream leads to create business project plans, monitoring and updating them throughout the life of the project, using tools such as MS Project or other software as appropriate. This will typically involve: Identifying and prioritising project tasks, determining dependencies, estimating future requirements and managing conflicts, - ensuring the project delivers on time, and to the required quality standard - highlighting any problems to the AD where relevant. Membership of project teams as required and providing support through preparing updates to progress, setting agendas, and ensuring focus on the delivery of project milestones Monitor programme costs against budget (as appropriate) including budget planning and, making recommendations to resolve various issues, e.g. budget cuts and/or under-spends Identify and embed project risk management i.e. risk identification, analysis and monitoring within all projects ensuring effective communication of risks and priorities. Be responsible for identifying and monitoring project issues and ensuring appropriate ownership of activities are known, highlighting any concerns as necessary. Be responsible for arranging and facilitating project meetings, etc. including the preparation and delivery of presentations and communication of actions and information. Develop and maintain a good knowledge of subjects relating to the project, including an understanding of business benefits and technical issues, in order to be able to communicate at all levels on the project's subject. Be responsible for the management of project-related administration support e.g. minute taking for high level Project Board meetings, regular project team meetings, compiling agendas, preparing papers, following up action points and acting as the first point of contact for members and general enquiries. Play a key role in project planning. Working with the other programme leads to monitor workload and co-ordination of administrative functions across the programme. Writing proposals, reports and working papers as required. Organisation of workshops and stakeholder meetings. Profile The key requirements are as follows: Educated to degree level with grade C or above in Maths and English Language or equivalent qualification. Experience of coordinating the delivery of projects. Prince 2 (minimum Foundation level) or other similar Project Management Methodology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present work to a group and in report format. Excellent IT skills with proven experience of using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project. Experience of delivering small/medium projects with limited supervision Effective organisational and time management skills with an ability to deliver work to deadlines and to handle several projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and experience of preparing management reports. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tackle problems efficiently and professionally. Strong evidence of ability to work without direct supervision and to use own initiative. Effective team player who is able to assume responsibility and leadership for individual projects. Proven track record in servicing groups and committees, including organising meetings, drafting text, producing minutes and following up action points. Experience of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders. Effective inter-personal skills, able to liaise with senior managers and stakeholders, offering guidance and interpretation on complex information. Available to travel and stay away overnight within the UK when necessary. Job Offer Salary of up to £43,000 p/a; January start; City Centre; Weekly Pay; Project Manager
