Job Title: R&D Technician Location: Elstree / Borehamwood, Hertfordshire Hours : Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm Do you love science? Do you have an eye for detail and excellent verbal/written communication? We have a junior entry-level role (R&D Technician) which is suited to someone who has finished their science studies at school/college and has a general interest in wanting to get into the industry. Here at Bio Products Laboratory Ltd we have interesting opportunities for you to join us as an R&D Technician on a permanent contract. BPL's goal is to collect plasma from our donor communities and process it effectively to manufacture high quality products that meet the needs of patients and clinicians. Our Research & Development team based at our head office in Elstree are looking for bright, ambitious, self-motivated individuals wanting to develop a career in the biopharmaceutical sector. We are seeking somebody looking for their first role within a scientific company. This role is to support the laboratory operations by washing up and decontaminating lab glassware, routine maintenance of equipment, complete relevant documentation, checking laboratory stocks and be responsible for receiving samples and consumables into the laboratory. The ideal candidate does not need any experience, just the willingness to learn and have the ambition to work in a laboratory setting. You will need to be a team player, highly organised and have great communication skills. The ability to quickly acquire and assimilate information and manage your time effectively is vital. Working within a growing sector in the biopharmaceutical industry, this opportunity will give a chance to develop and learn new skills that could see the candidates enjoy an expanding career within a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
