Mechanical Engineer Warrington Permanent £35,000 - £43,000 36.5 Hours per week The Company Perpetual Partnerships are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets. The Role Our Client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to deliver a variety of exciting bids and projects within the Engineering Development department of the Nuclear business. The role includes: Consultancy for a number of projects in nuclear fusion. new reactor development, nuclear de-comissioning, operational reactor maintenance & support Provide engineering input in the application of best practices and LFE; consideration of ALARP, nuclear accountancy, permanent containment/ventilation systems and contamination control approaches Understand design work Liaising with Stake-holders Essential Skills and Experience Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and working towards incorporated/ chartered status, or similar demonstrable experience Able to review technical drawings Motivated individual with the ability to work to deadlines and communicate project progress Good communication skills and ability to articulate information, present solutions Ability to interface and liaise with client, suppliers and internal stakeholders Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office packages Committed to Continuous Professional Development Display a broad mechanical understanding and knowledge of codes and standards, e.g. CDM, CE Marking, PED, etc. British National with eligibility to obtain and maintain full UK security clearance (SC) Desirable Skills and Experience - The following skills and experience would be advantageous: Self-starter with a professional approach and a technical background and industry experience Candidates willing to travel to customer sites as required Experience within a nuclear or highly regulated environment What do you get?
