Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working along side their prestigious Client based in Boston who are currently on the look out for an Engineering Team Leader. About the Role: To assist with the Management and Supervision of the Department and Engineers. Duties include: • Assist the shift engineers to carry out maintenance and repairs as required. • Assist creation of environment for routine planned maintenance of all items. • Assist with developing specifications, work instructions and procedures. • Provide management reports/feedback. • Assist with maintaining and administering company’s database. • Assist in implementation of company’s quality systems and procedures. • Ensure a safe working environment through risk assessment. • Issuance and cancellation of Permit to Work (PTW). • Work with Engineering Manager to organise purchase of materials & services. • Effectively handle any internal or external issues arising. • Attend management and production meetings in the Engineering Managers absence. • Ensure engineering staff are trained adequately for their allocated job. • Assist with recruitment and selection of new engineering staff. • Monitor staff performance and appraise where necessary. • Organise junior staff workloads and assist where necessary. Within this role you must be willing to work away from home during seasonal periods (once or twice a year). About You: • Time served engineer is essential (preferably multi-skilled) • Knowledge of 3ph motors and controls is required • Experience working within a food environment is desirable • Flexible in terms of working hours • Knowledge of plant and facilities maintenance. • Technical skills evidenced by experience/training. • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with tasks without supervision. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to use computer systems to assist with job. • Skills in handling and solving problems. • Ability to manage people. • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
