Overview

Riverside have a new opportunity for two Floating Support Workers, working full time on permanent basis. You will earn £21,451. Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday. Who you’ll be helping Engage Leeds is a city-wide service that is split in to 3 geographical areas. The wedge Riverside operates in covers all of South Leeds. The Engage Leeds service is commissioned by Leeds City Council and its key aim is to support anyone in Leeds over the age of 18 who is struggling with their housing and have support needs. We work with people from all tenures including council housing, housing associations, private landlords and people who own their own homes by providing a visiting support service. What will you do? As a trusted member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of individual, positive outcome focused support packages to clients of Riverside’s community based services and ensuring that the support service promotes empowerment and independence to clients within their homes. Day to day Your key responsibilities as a Riverside’s Floating Support Worker will include: • Provide a housing related support service to clients in their own home. • Delivering a 'best practice’ support service, appropriate to clients’ needs. • Ensuring the delivery of individual personalised support packages, reflective of different client needs, including culture and diversity issues. • Supporting clients with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent and liaising with landlords etc. • Knowledge of 'best practice’ in both crisis intervention and planned support working. • Undertaking referrals and assessments of potential clients, working with them to identify the mosappropriate housing solution for their needs. Ensuring clients have access to relevant external support services. • Working with clients to agree and set goals and actions.
