Overview
Due to internal promotion, a FTSE 100 plc based in Central London is recruiting a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst and Technical Specialist. This is a key role and you will be a senior member of the team responsible for external reporting, financial accounting, accounting policies, balance sheet, and technical accounting issues. The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant who is strong and up to date technically. You will have the potential to progress into a leadership role quickly. There is a significant level of stakeholder engagement and this is a high-profile role across the business. You will be heavily involved in various ad hoc projects and pieces of analysis - eg Major Impairment Review, IFRS 16, Pension scheme issues and other significant technial projects. The business is going through a period of transformation and you will support process improvement. You will also liaise with the auditors, tax and treasury team on technical matters and monitor the progress of year end and other reporting requirements, timetables and deadlines. This role is suitable for candidates exploring roles outside of practice who are at the Manager level or already working in another financial reporting team in a technical role. The role is offering a strong basis salary (circa £70 - 75,000) plus generous benefits and bonus.
