Overview
Our client, a highly reputable manufacturer have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Sourcing Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The right person for this role will be driven to succeed, ambitious and be a strategic thinker.Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, you will be identifying and sourcing new suppliers for the business as well as implementing sourcing and category management strategies. Analysing and calculating costs of procurement and performing cost and scenario analysis will play a big part in this role as will working with stakeholders to ensure that they get products from design to delivery. Travel may be required from time to time to meet with new and existing vendors.If you are a strong negotiator with vast experience of managing and sourcing new suppliers, who is looking for a role with real career progression, then we would like to hear from youThe candidate:" Previous experience within a senior sourcing role" Vast experience of sourcing and vendor management" Strong negotiation skills and relationship building skills" An analytical individual with good numerical skills" Hold a degree in procurement within supply chain management, logistics or business administration ideally" Experience of working within a manufacturing environment and an understanding of manufacturing drawings would be an advantageIf you think this role is for you then please do apply
