Overview

The NCA’s Change Command is responsible for managing and delivering a significant portfolio of change activity across the NCA and with partners. This activity is transforming how the NCA delivers its mission to cut serious and organised crime. The Enterprise Design Authority (EDA) within the NCA’s Change Command has a vacancy for a Head of Enterprise Design - Business. This exciting and challenging role will lead on-going design effort, resolving design issues and be accountable for design decision making, The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the EDA-B achieves its 5 key purposes through the delivery of the four functions of Design Leadership, Design Standards and Methods, Design Assurance and Design Resource are delivered Job description You will be working with internal and external senior stakeholders, business leads and colleagues in Change and other enabling functions and will: • Own, maintain and develop the Target Operating Model (TOM) through effective leadership of the Enterprise Authority Team. • Ensure our strategic design is effectively communicated and understood at appropriate levels across the organisation. Influencing the design of change in business cases and overseeing assurance of change design. • Drive forward the Enterprise Design Authority Function, ensuring that investment and change decisions are aligned to the NCA TOM and influencing choices about our plans for the future. • Ensure our strategic design is effectively communicated and understood at appropriate levels across the organisation. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack Responsibilities You will be able to demonstrate the following Technical Criteria: • Experience of applying systems engineering and/ or design methodologies with strategic impact, or the aptitude to do so. • A good understanding of business architecture and enterprise design architecture approaches or the willingness and aptitude to develop the required knowledge. • A good understanding of the Serious and Organised Crime threats and the changing capability required to tackle the threats or the aptitude to develop the required knowledge at pace. You may be required to respond at short notice or outside of core hours. • Individuals will be required to undertake a substance misuse test as part of pre-employment checks. • Officers may be required to travel throughout the UK and overseas.
