Overview
Job Title: Design Engineer Location: Work from home / Reading £30-34 per hour The design engineer will be a key contributor on a team. The individual in this position will have an understanding and exposure to a wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. He/she will provide solutions that are imaginative, thorough and practical to a specific problem. As side from the general business requirements e.g. teamworker, drive for results, action orientated my client is looking for a design engineer with the following experience: Strong and proficient 3D modelling experience (Solidworks) Experience in plastic part and manufacturing process design Injection mould tool, tool design and processing knowledge/experience. Understanding and appreciation of cGMP, quality systems, validation principles and their relevance within this working environment. Able to lead and perform analytical/theoretical analysis, evaluate and validate theory through 'real life’ prototyping and processing trials. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (polymers, injection mould processing, tooling and assembly). Prior knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (Injection moulding and Assembly) Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Polymer Science related (HNC or above, Degree/Advanced Degree desirable). The individual will be working on NPI project, it will involve the design of plastic moulded components to improve the overall pump design. The design phase of the project will last for an initial 6 months. In the current situation, it would be working from home. Once business gets back to normal, we would be flexible with the location of work, it would be expected that you would be in the office a few days a week to touch base etc.
