Overview
My client a leading not for profit are Europe’s largest assessment group, leading in research, development and delivering assessment globally. They are looking for an Infrastructure Team Leader with a focus on Public Cloud and Virtualisation, with the ability to act as a Technical Lead. To be successful in this role Team Leadership and Management is pivotal which a strong understanding of what a true leader embodies with excellent communication skills. As an experienced Infrastructure Manager you will lead a team of high performing engineers in the support and management of the business’s Public Cloud (AWS and Azure), virtualisation, storage, backup and VDI infrastructure. You will support and provide guidance and monitor Public Cloud monthly spend and identify opportunities for cost optimisation. In addition you will collaborate with other IT teams, providing expert advice to Senior Management ensuring they are up to date on technical capabilities of infrastructure technologies as well as participating in, and leading projects to implement new technologies. On the customer services side, as the Infrastructure Team Lead you will handle escalations, provide technical support, resolve incidents, problem and services request from customers and senior management with urgency, transparency and wit clarity. Key Requirements: Proven technical team lead experience Primary skillset in Public Cloud and on-premise infrastructure technologies Ability to organise team deliverables, manage stakeholder expectation and motivate the team to achieve the goals. Confident communicator in business and technical environments. Comfortable challenging assumptions and finding creative solutions to problems. Awareness and experience of networking, Windows and Linux would desirable.
