Job Summary Care UK is leading the way in the design and delivery of Integrated Urgent Care. Our service builds upon our experience of answering 2.5 million NHS 111 calls each year and our delivery of other urgent care services; out of hours, urgent care centres, Our innovative model ensures people with urgent healthcare needs get the right care for their condition, when they need it, by bringing together out-of-hospital services and a hub of expert clinicians behind the existing NHS 111 number. An opportunity has arisen for a Head of HR for our Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUC) who will either be home-based or within a commutable distance to Reading. We are looking to appoint an inspiring Head of HR who will bring enthusiasm for change and a willingness to implement new processes to assist with increasing retention and supporting the organisation with the adoption of Organisational Development to ensure we are a modern and proactive employer responding to the changing needs of our workforce ways of working. The post holder will be strategically partnering the IUC Senior Management team along with providing strong leadership to a team of HR Business Partners, Recruitment Specialists and HR Administration teams, ensuring operational teams receive an outstanding HR service that meets their needs. This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday. Flexibility to travel to national sites will be required. Responsibilities To provide strategic HR leadership for the ‘Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Service’ which cover 111, Clinical Advisory Service, GP Out of Hours and developing into Urgent Treatment Centres; the Head of HR will ensure the effective coaching and development of Senior and Operational Management Teams in all areas of people management activity, including complex employee relations case work, succession planning, change management and TUPE. Leading a team of HR and Resourcing professionals, the Head of HR will be required to understand the service challenges and objectives in order to deliver commercially focused HR solutions that support service delivery and improvement. (For a full list of duties and a comprehensive JD, please get in touch) What we need from you • Chartered Member of the CIPD or equivalent experience • Considerable relevant experience in a fast paced, large and complex environment, delivering commercially focused HR solutions • Good knowledge of employment law and TUPE as well as bidding and pensions issues relating to public sector outsourcing. • Experience in leading innovative and effective recruitment solutions • Ability to influence and shape senior management opinion. • The ability to prioritise a demanding workload effectively in order to meet deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail. • Ability to convey advice clearly and concisely with conviction and in a persuasive manner when in a difficult and challenging environment. • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work and organise quickly, accurately, and productively. • High standard of verbal and written communication skills. • Able to simultaneously and successfully manage different projects.
