SEN Teaching Assistant -Sutton Are you a psychology Graduate with a passion for Special educational needs? Have you already got experience working with youth or mental health? This great special school is for students with Social, Emotional and Attachment difficulties, particularly, ASD and/or additional complex needs. SEN Teaching Assistant -Sutton SEN Teaching Assistant -Sutton Great transport links ASD, Complex needs and MLD School Child related experience is preferred SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH, ASD Sutton SEN Teaching Assistant -Sutton April start All students have additional complex needs, such as ASD / Aspergers, ADHD, Anxiety, Mental Health Difficulties, Attachment Difficulties / Disorders, ODD, Speech & Language difficulties, Learning Difficulties, PDA, ADD, OCD, Discalculia, Dyslexia or Dyspraxia. Nearly all students have been unable to succeed at their previous schools, and many need long term nurturing. The school has more staff than students, so there is lots of 1:1 staffing. We also have very small classes, varying from 1 - 5 students. This enables us to achieve positive outcomes in spite of challenging behaviour and complex needs. Students are taught in small classes, in pairs or individually, as appropriate. There is a strong focus on improving literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, and on developing personal and social skills. This SEN Teaching Assistant role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Graduate who has achieved at least a 2:1 in Psychology or a relevant subject. You must possess a passion for supporting and developing students with Special Educational Needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have a natural ability to build relationships and display an empathetic, resilient and friendly character.
