CAD Manager

Job Title: CAD Manager Hours: Monday to Thurs 07:45-17:00 & Friday's 07:45-12:45hrs Salary: £28,000-£35,000 (DOE) Contract: Permanent Location: Wigan (WN6) We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Manager for a well-established Manufacturing Client based in Wigan. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the CAD Manager will be responsible for leading a small team providing concise technical drawings and information to the factory staff. As the CAD Manager your duties & responsibilities will be - Effectively lead the CAD Team in the creation and revision of production drawings and information. - Translation of design ideas into production drawings. - Maintain current information, including Bill of materials and Manufacturing documents and AutoCAD drawings. - Assist in research and development of new materials and methodologies. - Understand and implement inspection, corrections and future updated changes. - Investigate and process customer requirements for the Sales department. - Investigate cost savings. The successful CAD Manager will have the following skills/experience required; - Must have previous managerial/supervision experience. - Must have experience working within a wood/furniture manufacturing facility. - Ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a CAD role. - Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) - Good understanding of manufacturing techniques and how to improve efficiencies. - Space planning experience and a familiarity with Building regulations would be ideal. - An understanding of manufacturing systems and Bills of Materials.
