DevOps Engineer – Newcastle - £30-45K DOE A technology startup based in Newcastle city centre are going through unprecedented growth. Following Series A investment, the business are entering ‘scale up’ phase and looking to hire a talented DevOps Engineer to support their Cloud Services to assist the technology department in their product offering. With recent investment, and both an enviable and well known Board of Directors steering the firm through a period of dramatic growth, the firm have identified the need for a DevOps Engineer to support the deployment of their services. On a day to day basis this role will include: - Overseeing company DevOps practices, documentation and software implementation - Managing Cloud Infrastructure, domains, firewalls, networking - Responsibility for a range of projects that support operational functionality and automation - Large data operations, multi-month builds, dealing with multiple repositories, test scenarios - Planning for future projects - Liaise with a range of stakeholders, management and teams on project requirements In order to apply for this role, we are seeking the following experience: - Extensive DevOps knowledge, ideally around PHP - Web languages such as JavaScript, Python, Go - Strong knowledge of Linux, Networking and Security This is a challenging role that will bring the best out of a DevOps professional. You will be a member of a small but tightly knit internal team and will have significant influence on the technology roadmap that will result in long term success. Perhaps you are a Web Developer or PHP Developer taking on DevOps responsibility in your current role, or even a DevOps specialist looking for a new challenge.
