Overview
Trafford Housing Trust (THT) is an independent housing company providing more than 9,000 quality affordable homes within the Trafford area of Manchester. Here at THT, we are now looking for a Governance Officer to provide specialist governance services, advice, guidance, toolkits and training for the business. This is an extremely varied role which includes providing administration services to boards and joint ventures in the group, company administration, supporting the process for self-assessment of compliance, supporting the process and maintaining records for non-executive director induction, appraisals and development plans, and updating board documents and templates. You will also coordinate tender openings, ensuring compliance with the process, and research and report on sector consultations and reviews. Educated to Degree level, you will have experience of governance and legal structures, working with boards and committees and of compliance with regulation. With excellent prioritisation and time management skills and a keen eye for detail, you will be comfortable with minute taking, have knowledge of compliance with regulation and be experienced in providing advice on compliance with policies and procedures.
